Envision Community Services (Envision) is committed to empowering underserved communities through accountability mentorship, working to ensure south side communities serve as a safe living and working environment for individuals to thrive. Here are a few of our initiatives to empower the community through Restorative Justice.
S.O.S - Save Our Streets
The Envision Community Service (Envision), Gang Intervention, Save Our Streets (S.O.S.) program is committed to empowering the Brighton Park community and the surrounding neighborhoods with safety awareness and resources to improve the quality of life. Funded by the Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH), ECS is determined to address poverty while combating gun/gang violence throughout the Brighton Park community through intervention, prevention, mediation and advocacy.
S.O.S 2.0 - Save our Streets 2.0
(S.O.S 2.0) carries the same mission funded by the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS). ECS is determined to assist Mckinley Park, Gage Park, West Lawn, Chicago Lawn, and Pilsen by offering mentorship, education, employment, and other essential services. As well as canvassing the community, responding gang crime incidents, providing intervention, prevention , mediation and advocacy.
Latina Re-Entry Program
This new program assists Latina women returning from prison/incarceration to assist with re-integrating with society and addressing any potential barriers they may face towards securing employment, housing, and education. This will begin prior to release with career coaching and counseling sessions to identify each individual's goals. ECS believes in accountability mentoring and living life with our participants.
